Credit Risk Analyst – Asia Pacific Desk

Singapore

The Role
We are currently expanding our global Analyst team and seeking to recruit a Credit Risk Analyst (Shipping and Commodities) for our APAC division based in our Singapore Office.

The Analyst's job is to research, conduct commercial due diligence, and prepare profile reports on companies, principally in the marine, energy, and commodities (softs and metals) sectors. The reports, which result from a range of different levels of research, are detailed structured documents outlining the registered details, history, current operations, developments, financial status, performance, and market reputation of the company in question. The key section of the report is the final assessment and rating of the company in light of the particular business proposition. Reports are frequently needed at very short notice, so you will have to develop the skill to work quickly, hence efficiently.

The Candidate
As every company is unique, the Analyst must find a way to unlock this uniqueness and present it in clear, coherent, grammatical English. The position is challenging, requiring the ability to think laterally. You will need very sound commercial sense and the capacity to empathise with the client's needs. You will have to have an international outlook and an interest in current affairs, in addition to a basic knowledge of the structure of the international industry. You are expected to be a natural and effective communicator and maintain regular contact with our clients and our Analyst teams at our UK offices and our regional offices in the Americas, Europe, and Australia.

We would like to hear from talented individuals with great analytical skills, and a business/finance-focused, research-oriented background, allied to a 2.1 degree from a leading academic institution, or an equivalent professional qualification. A high level of integrity and trust is essential, and a proven and successful track record, in a risk management capacity.

To Apply

Please email your CV and cover letter to hr@infospectrum.net detailing the below:

  • Your motivation for applying
  • Why you will be a good fit for this role
  • What experience/knowledge do you have in the APAC region (either on the shipping or trading side) that you feel could add value to this role?
